So, You want to publish ?

Great News for all who are involved in some way in single-gender education initiatives. I am the editor of a yearly publication, Advances in Gender and Education (AGE) that highlights single-gender initiatives in our schools. The journal is interdisciplinary and as such, features articles relating to gender and single-gender learning arrangements with the goal of broadening educational horizons for both girls and boys.

The topics in the journal include a wide range of subject areas including educational theory, educational practice, and interactions between gender and race/ethnicity/SES in the classroom. The journal also provides opportunities for discussions on gender differences in physiology, psychology, sociology, art and culture, and historical perspectives on gender in education.

Our hope is that a better understanding of gender will lead to an expanding of educational and cultural horizons, as well as breaking down gender stereotypes.

Because this is a broadly defined perspective, we have four ways in which you can publish:

Research-based Articles
Scholarly Essays
Descriptive Overviews of Current Programs
Effective Practices
